Alicia Happ, wife, mom of four amazing kiddos, and self-proclaimed people pleaser, found her dream job as the Owner and Event Coordinator of Delray 817 in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket and The Depot in Seward. After 10 years as a stay-at-home mom, Alicia was ready to bring her creative energy and love for people to these beautifully preserved venues. She and her husband jumped at the chance to purchase Delray 817 (formerly The Delray Ballroom) in 2021 and The Depot in 2023 and they couldn’t be happier with the decision. Alicia’s favorite part of venue ownership is having a close working relationship with all clients and seeing the events—from weddings to corporate meetings to intimate small gatherings—come together and watching guests enjoy the venues while they are in attendance.
